Privacy Policy

Window does not collect, store or transmit any personal information about you. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. This page explains the few places data is involved at all.

Window never asks for your location

The app shows a fixed, curated set of places. Their coordinates are built into the app. Window does not request, access or infer your device's location, and it has no location permission to grant or revoke.

Weather data

To show real conditions, the app asks WeatherAPI.com for the current weather and today's sunrise and sunset at those fixed places. Those requests contain the coordinates of the place being shown — never anything about you.

As with any request your device makes over the internet, WeatherAPI.com will see the IP address the request came from. We do not send them, and never receive from them, any other information. Their handling of that is covered by WeatherAPI.com's privacy policy.

What is stored on your device

Window remembers a small amount of state so it behaves sensibly when you reopen it:

• which window you last had open
• whether it changes on a timer, and how often
• whether ambient sound is on or off
• the last weather reading for each place, so a cold start with no signal shows real conditions rather than invented ones

All of this stays on your device. None of it is sent anywhere, and deleting the app removes it.

Subscriptions

Window Pro is billed by Apple through your App Store account. We never see or handle your payment details.

Subscription status is managed for us by RevenueCat, which receives a randomly generated identifier and the purchase information Apple provides, so the app knows whether Pro is active. That identifier is not linked to your name, your email or your Apple ID.

Children

Window is not directed at children under 13, and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Because Window holds no personal information about you, there is nothing for us to look up, correct, export or delete on request. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or South Africa, the rights you have under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or POPIA apply — and in this case they are satisfied by there being no data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it, and any change that affects what data is involved will be described in the app's release notes.
