Window · Support
Six windows onto real places, each on its own weather and its own clock.
Window is deliberately quiet. There are no buttons across the screen, because the view is the whole point — so everything is a gesture on the window itself.
How to use it
- Swipe left or right to change window.
- Press and hold anywhere for three seconds to open the menu.
- In the menu: choose a window, set it to change on a timer, and turn ambient sound on or off.
- The i button in the corner opens About.
The home screen widget
Touch and hold your home screen, tap the +, search for Window, and add the small or medium size. It follows whichever window the app is on, and keeps its own time of day between visits.
Shortcuts
Two actions appear in the Shortcuts app: Set the Window to choose which window is showing, and Get the Current Window to read back the place, its local time and its weather.
If they do not appear straight after installing, restart the phone — iOS rebuilds its Shortcuts index on restart.
Weather looks wrong, or is missing
Window shows the weather of the place you are looking at, not where you are. Conditions are fetched when the app opens and cached, so with no signal you see the last real reading rather than an invented one.
Window Pro
Two windows — Lisbon and Brooklyn — are free, forever. Pro opens the full set and adds a new window every month.
Subscriptions are billed by Apple. To cancel, or to switch between monthly and yearly, use Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your device. If you have paid before and the windows are locked, open the menu, choose any window marked PRO, and tap Restore a previous purchase.
